Mr Manuel Tomás Cortez Rodrigues Queiró was appointed by the Portuguese Government as the new President of CP for the next three years.

With a background in civil engineering, Manuel Queiró was also a member of the Portuguese Parliament for several years dealing with issues such as transport.
Transport and particularly railways are always present in his professional life. Among the positions he has held, he was a teacher at Coimbra University, teaching urban and regional planning and sustainable related issues, and also a manager dealing with urban projects, e.g. Municipal Master Plans.

UIC warmly congratulates Mr Queiró on his appointment.
