The Innovation Workshops organised by the UIC Passenger Services Group cover technology trends and their impacts on the rail industry. Each workshop combines pitches by industry experts, interactive sessions and co-creation activities enabled by digital collaboration tools.
The next workshop, “Transforming the Passenger Experience with Generative AI”, will discuss one of the most exciting and innovative technology trends, with the ability to transform entire industries. Topics that will be covered include developments in the domain of large language models (such as ChatGPT) and other generative AI technologies, as well as how they are being applied to anticipate customer needs to: create personalised experiences, provide real time assistance, increase productivity, and optimise operations. Discussion will include examples of applications and projects currently underway from key stakeholders in the industry and provide insight on how passengers view AI. The aim is to encourage discussions about the way in which the rail industry can address the key challenges and opportunities created by generative AI.
The workshop will take place on 7 May 2024, at UIC Headquarters in Paris.
The event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend either in-person or online.
