Next Station Organisation Committee and Scientific Committee met in Paris

The 4th “Next Station” international conference on railway stations will take place in Moscow, Kazansky Station, from 17 to 18 October 2013.

This high-profile global railway event will be hosted by JSC Russian Railways (RZD) and jointly organised with the International Union of Railways (UIC), the worldwide railway organisation chaired since early 2013 by Vladimir Yakunin, President of RZD.

Last week, the organisation committee and the scientific committee met in Paris and discussed the following topics:

  • The website is now fully in operation: www.nextstation2013.com. Its contents include the draft programme, logistic issues such as registration, accommodation, the exhibition…
  • The organisation of the conference: key note speakers, round table, parallel sessions, moderators, languages, press conference… were examined
  • The scientific committee has received around 40 proposals from around the world for the lectures. The final selection will be made in July

The next scientific committee will meet in Paris on 8 July, and the organisation and communication committees will meet in Moscow on 11 and 12 July.
