The Focus starts with the EuropeTrain project that ended very successfully, and continues with articles on UIC Noise reports that have recently been completed and are available at UIC website. The topics cover “Rail Dampers Acoustic Rail Grinding Low Height Noise Barriers”, the “Railway Noise Technical Measures Catalogue”, the “Real cost of railway noise mitigation”, and “Real noise reduction of freight wagon retrofitting”. It then focuses on the RIVAS project aiming to reduce the impact of vibrations and the CargoVibes project assessing the impact of vibrations on human beings.
