The 12th meeting of the UIC Regional Assembly for the Middle-East (RAME) will be held from 10 – 11 November 2013 at the kind invitation of Jordanian Railways, Jordan Hejaz Railway (JHR) and Aqaba Railway Corporation (ARC). The venue will be in the Dead Sea region.

On 10 November the UIC RAME Assistant Meeting bringing together the Directors of International Affairs of Member railways and chaired by UIC will be held with the objective of preparing the Directors-General decisions on the following day. The Directors-general of the UIC Middle-East Region will meet on 11 November. The 12th RAME Meeting will be chaired by the UIC Middle-East Chairman Mr Süleyman Karaman, Director-General of Turkish State Railways (TCDD).

On 12 November, the 1st UIC RAME Infrastructure Maintenance Working Group will also be held in Jordan’s Dead Sea region. This Working Group is a follow-up of the Asset Management & Infrastructure Maintenance Seminar held in 2010 in Amman. The technical content is being prepared with the support of the UIC Rail System Department at UIC HQ.
