This project intends to pave the way for an affordable railway infrastructure with low maintenance and rapid construction and allowing a robust operation concept that is resilient to extreme weather conditions and other hazards, designed for automated maintenance and operation and adaptable to different route characteristics including very high speed.

TRA 2014

TRA is a European High Standard Scientific Conference with a systemic approach to building a sustainable transport system particularly aiming at greener, safer and smarter transport and will cover all surface transport modes: road transport, rail transport, waterborne transport and their interfaces. It will concern European and national research activities and all aspects of R&D: from basic sciences, socio-economic research to applied sciences and demonstration activities.
Through its commitment in ERRAC, UIC strongly supports the preparation of the next edition to be held in Paris from 14 – 17 April 2014.
