It is with sadness that UIC learned of the passing away of Dipl.-Eng. Johann Peter Blank, former Chairman of the Bundesbahn Central Office (DB) in Minden, at the age of 88.

From 1980 – 1988 Johann Peter Blank served as Chairman of UIC’s Office for Research and Experiments (ORE), which later became ERRI, based in Utrecht in the Netherlands.
