Mrs Barbara Dalibard, Director-General of SNCF Voyages (Activities Branch “Travel” Long distance passenger transport), was appointed new Chairperson of the UIC Passenger Forum. She succeeds Mr Marc Deschemaecker, former CEO of SNCB, who has taken over new responsibilities outside the rail sector. She is de facto also the Chairperson of the UIC-CER High Level Passenger Group.
Since 1 February 2010, Barbara Dalibard has assumed management of the SNCF Voyages Division and become a member of the French rail operator’s Management Committee.
A graduate of the higher education institution ENS (École Normale Supérieure) and ENST (École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications), and a holder of a higher education teaching certificate in mathematics, Barbara Dalibard, 55, has spent the majority of her career at France Telecom. Before joining SNCF, she had since 2003 held the position of CEO at Orange Business Services, the world leader in corporate communications.

The UIC Passenger Forum defines strategic guidelines for international cooperation in the passenger and high-speed field. It also oversees the activities of groups involved specifically in the following areas:

- Commercial & Distribution
- Commuter & Regional Train Services
- Stations Managers Global Group
