The 6th edition of ILCAD (International Level Crossing Awareness Day) that is spearheaded by UIC is to take place again worldwide on 3 June 2014.

Please note that the safety message spread through ILCAD 2014 will target professional road drivers (of school buses, coaches, taxis, minivans, tractors, trucks, heavy haul trucks, emergency vehicles...).

The three previous drawing contests were such a success that ILCAD partners asked to organise a fourth one. Please find below the first-prize winners in 2013.

UIC has the pleasure to announce that the 4th international drawing contest for children on Safety at Level Crossings is officially open.

The competition is open to all children (including those of UIC HQ colleagues and the staff of UIC members) in the following age groups:
4 – 7 years and 8 – 12 years
Please scan your drawing and send it by a high definition file using this link http://www.ilcad.org/Kids-corner,218.html (note: there is one form per age group):

Deadline for sending drawings: 11 March 2014

Voting will take place on a dedicated webpage (conditions and web address to be communicated in March). The best drawings will be announced by the end of April 2014 and will be awarded with a prize that will be communicated at a later date.
The winning drawings will be uploaded to the ILCAD website www.ilcad.org in advance of the international campaign date of 3 June 2014 and may be exhibited during the campaign.
