Start of the organisation of the 12th UIC ERTMS World Conference jointly prepared with INFRABEL

UIC is glad to inform you that the 12th UIC ERTMS World Conference, announced at the end of the Istanbul 2014 Conference by UIC and INFRABEL, will be held in Brussels, Belgium, from 29 February to 2 March 2016.

The teams of UIC and INFRABEL will work in close synergy to prepare this leading conference that has become the worldwide reference for all issues related to railway signalling, traffic management and radio communications systems.

The conference is due to take place at “Square – Brussels meeting Centre”, an attractive location in the centre of Brussels city, prized for its positioning and its practicality, situated in the cultural quarter of Brussels in front of the central station, easy access to train connections and accommodation.

INFRABEL, the Belgian Rail Infrastructure Manager, is closely involved in the implementation of the unified ETCS train control system on its network. A big national project is called “ETCS 2022”.
