France: Appointments at SNCF

On 1 October 2014, SNCF President Guillaume PEPY appointed:

Yves TYRODE as Digital and Communications Director: a graduate of Paris’ Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST), Mr Tyrode has devoted his entire career to the digital business. Since 2011, at the head of Voyages-sncf.com Rail Europe, he has guided the development of the company through new growth drivers, particularly in international and mobile operations.

Christophe FANICHET as Director of Communications: an engineer with a degree from Paris’ Ecole Supérieure d’Informatique, Electronique et Automatiques (ESIEA). In 2008, he joined SNCF’s Strategy Department. Prior to his new appointment, he had been Director of the President’s Office under Guillaume Pepy and Member of the SNCF Executive Board since February 2014.

Patrick ROPERT as Director of Gares & Connexions (Stations & Connections division): a graduate of Paris’ Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées, with a Masters in Advanced Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, London, and a DESS (postgraduate diploma) in Production and Operations Management. In 2007 he became Director of Operational Communications at SNCF before being appointed Director of Corporate Communications in 2010.

Stéphane RAPEBACH as Director of the President’s Office under Guillaume PEPY: a graduate of France’s Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers and a DESS (postgraduate diploma) in Fluid Mechanics from the University of Paris VI. He began his career within SNCF’s Infrastructure Department, before becoming Director of the President’s Office and Director of the SNCF-RFF project to create a unified infrastructure manager.

Since 13 October, Guillaume PEPY has made the following appointments for SNCF’s Passenger activities:

Barbara DALIBARD as Director of the Passenger Division: a graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Télécommunications, and a holder of a higher education teaching certificate in mathematics. In January 2010 she joined SNCF as Head of SNCF Voyages (Travel Division) and Chair of voyages-sncf.com.

Rachel PICARD as Director of SNCF Voyages (Travel Division): a graduate of France’s HEC business school, she joined SNCF as Deputy Director of voyages-sncf.com and became Director in 2007. She joined SNCF’s Executive Board in 2012 as Director of Gares & Connexions (Stations & Connections Division).

Alain KRAKOVITCH as Director of the Transilien business: a graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Lyon and holder of a Masters in Management and Logistics from France’s ESSEC business school. He joined the President’s office as Director in 2007, serving first under Anne-Marie IDRAC and later under Guillaume PEPY. Since 7 September 2012, he has been Head of Railway Service Quality and Safety.
