Kazakhstan: KTZ employees improve their skills through training from DB International

Modular training given to KTZ employees on topics such as “Organisation and management in the railway system”, “Retail and marketing in the railway system”, “Development of IT and automation in the railway industry” – with the involvement of specialists from the company DB International GmbH – considerably strengthened the skills of KTZ personnel in these areas.

On 30 October 2014, employees of JSC NC “KTZ” were awarded certificates following the successful completion of advanced training courses.

The certificates were presented by the Director of the Eastern Europe region, Russia and the CIS countries of DB International, Oliver Pitts and the Director of the “Centre for appraisal and development of the personnel of railroad transport” of JSC NC “KTZ” Mr Marasilov.
The training was attended by 150 managers and employees of structural divisions within JSC NC “KTZ”.

During the sessions, participants explored in detail the various aspects of modern enterprise in the transport market, reviewed a number of examples of finding administrative and structural solutions, and implementing marketing strategies.
According to the students, the knowledge and experience gained during the training was relevant, useful and applicable to projects implemented within KTZ.

Andreas Schultz, Expert in logistics at DB International, said that students showed special interest in the experience of transformation of DB, strategic management and implementation of IT solutions. During the discussions and group work, similarities and differences were established in the development of KTZ and DB, and it was noted that DB’s experience was of great practical value for colleagues in Kazakhstan.

DB International GmbH is one of the world’s leading consulting and engineering companies. The company provides consulting services in the transport and logistics sector, especially in the field of railways, stations and high-speed transport systems.
