Japan: JR East announces new international tender for the procurement of diesel railcars

East Japan Railway Company (JR East) announced on 28 November 2014 an opening of the new international tender for the replacement of diesel railcars for the Hachinohe Line.
JR East is looking forward to receiving many applications from all over the world and having dialogues with the best manufacturers.
JR East’s procurement policy is guided by its strong will to purchase high-quality and reasonably priced products with sufficient after-sales service from both domestic and international businesses.
