UBTZ, Mongolia: new Chairman of UBTZ

The Board Meeting of Mongolia’s Joint Stock Company Ulaanbaatar Railways, which took place on 12 December 2014 in Ulaanbaatar, appointed Mr Luvsandagva Purevbaatar as Chairman of JSC Ulaanbaatar Railways.

Mr Purevbaatar will continue the duties of Mr Sereenendorj in the UIC Asia Pacific Regional Assembly as Vice-Chairman.

Mr Purevbaatar, a railway specialist, and signalling and communications engineer, studied at Saint Petersburg Institute of Railway Engineers and at the Management Development Institute of the Ministers’ Committee.

After several positions in the railways, he became the first Deputy Chairman of JSC Ulaanbaatar Railways in 2006, then Head of the Foreign Relations and Cooperation Department of Ulaanbaatar Railways between 2007 and 2009. Between 2012 and 2014 he was Head of the Mongolian Railway Engineers Association.
