On 1 January 2015 Mr Jan Pociatek, Minister of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic, appointed Mr Dusan Sefcik as Director General of ZSR. Mr Sefcik previously held the position of CFO ZSR.

Mr Sefcik graduated in 1995 from the University of Transport and Communications in Zilina, having studied in the Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communications. Following his studies, he worked as Senior Adviser to the Ministry of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of the Slovak Republic.

In 2002 Mr Sefcik moved from the Ministry to ZSR as Head of the Control Section of DG ZSR. In 2008 he was appointed CFO ZSR. From 2010 – 2012 he was Adviser to the CEO ZSR, and in 2012 he was appointed CFO ZSR.

UIC extends its sincere congratulations and very best wishes to Mr Dusan Sefcik on the occasion of his appointment as the new Director General of ZSR.
