On 12 March, Mr Iosif Szentes was appointed Director General of CFR Calatori (the national railway passenger transport company in Romania), in accordance with the legal provisions on corporate governance of public enterprises.

Mr Szentes was born on 10 July 1965 and graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, Faculty of Transport, Transport Technology and Railway Remote Control Department.

He has a PhD in Transport Engineering and has completed several courses on passenger transport management.

Prior to the appointment to this position, he held the positions of Strategy Councillor, International and Institutional Affairs Director and Operations Director within CFR Calatori.
