Jointly organised by the two chairmen of the UIC Ticketing TAG and TAP-NT groups, Kurt De Vriendt and David Sarfatti, the workshop benefited from the participation of Marc Guigon and Fabrice Setta, senior advisors at UIC, Chris Querée, UIC Technical Group Chairman, Sabine Dambuyant, UIC RCF1 chairwoman, Dominique Margottin, Full Service Model representative. Representing Căile Ferate Române Calatori (CFR passenger services), our host Mr Adrian Vlaicu, Operational Director, Victor Toma, Sales Director, Lili Coanda, International Affairs Director and Cristina Frigioiu, CFR Representative at UIC and International Distribution Director.

CFR presented its new online ticketing system implemented in 2010 and enhanced in 2015 with mobile booking possibilities. Online tickets currently represent 10% of all tickets.
Ticketless journeys are available for registered customers only, for all domestic routes. All online sales generate ticketless fulfilment. A few minutes before departure, the control staff receives the list of passengers. The passenger name and ticket ID are required by the control staff for travel. The rail customer does not need to print anything.
Security in System (SIS) by CFR Calatori in Romania is fully implemented.

The URT working group worked on the following points:
The first part result of the URT working group in 2014 was the functional description of the rail ticketing processes. The URT meeting for the most part described the mobile App ticketing processes and their interactions with classic CIT paper and print@home rail tickets.
The second part of the URT work in 2015 is the technical description and the messaging composition. Using XML Spy and Enterprise Architect the URT working group defines in detail each message to be exchanged in the processes sequence diagrams defined in Part 1.
For UIC barcode decryption, the UIC Public Key Management website https://railpublickey.uic.org/ provides UIC railway public keys.

The URT working group continues to meet every month and the next meetings in 2015 will be on 8 April in Istanbul and 5 May in Moscow. During these workshops, TCCD and RZD-FPC plan to display their last mobile rail ticketing solutions respectively.

All UIC mobile ticketing experts are very welcome to participate. Please contact david.sarfatti at avancial.com for more information.
