UIC HIGHSPEED 2015, the 9th world Congress on High Speed Rail, is being organised by UIC and East Japan Railway Company (JR East). The Congress will be held from 7 –10 July 2015 at Tokyo International Forum.

Participants can register for the event before 31 May 2015, please consult the congress website: www.uic-highspeed2015.com.

UIC and JR East are looking forward to you taking opportunity to connect with all the people involved in High Speed Rail worldwide.
This 9th Congress will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for all High Speed Rail professionals worldwide to review the past half century and to envision the next half century of High Speed Rail. The theme of the Congress is “Celebrate the past, design the future” by drawing lessons from the past 50 years of high speed rail development and operations, and identifying the challenges of the next 50 years. More than 1,000 participants are expected.
The congress will be organised around three main blocks: sessions, exhibition and technical visits. Two round tables will give participants the opportunity to interact and exchange knowledge.
In addition, seven parallel sessions will revolve around four technical streams:
technology, customers, management, culture and society. One special stream will be delivered by the academic sector to broaden the vision of High Speed Rail systems and forecasting scenarios for the future.

A trade exhibition will be organised to illustrate the latest development of high speed rail systems across the world. On the last day of the Congress, technical visits will be proposed, including travel on Shinkansen trains, visiting Shinkansen related facilities, and other events.
