Employees of GYSEV CARGO Zrt. will in the future be able to participate in a high-level course on rail freight. Under the terms of an agreement concluded between the railway undertaking and the Baross Gábor Educational Centre, the accredited course involving more than two hundred hours of teaching will be held in Sopron.

Gysev Cargo Zrt. will in the future be able to employ better skilled professionals as regards both the theoretical and the practical knowledge of the employees. The high-level course is provided free of charge for the employees of the railway undertaking, who do not even need to travel away to this end, since the course will take place in Sopron, at the Gysev headquarters and at the University of West-Hungary.

The aim is to have well-trained employees who are capable of performing, organising and controlling at executive level the rail freight activities, with the business objectives of the company in mind. It is also important that they be able to take immediate and decisive action in professional matters, employ the applicable regulations and organise, control and supervise the activities of their respective field of work.

Participants will amongst others be educated on customs issues affecting rail traffic, the transport of dangerous goods, national and international rail freight rules, transport equipment management and plant management skills.

“Rail freight is an ever-changing sector. It is important that our employees have up-to-date knowledge to carry out their work, as this helps us further improve the quality of our services. I am particularly pleased that we can offer this one-semester long course on rail freight in Sopron”, said János Skála, CEO of Gysev Cargo Zrt.

The curriculum of the high-level course has been developed jointly by Gysev Cargo Zrt. and the Baross Gábor Educational Centre of MÁV Szolgáltató Központ Zrt. Instructors will come both from the railway undertaking and the educational institute.
