UIC works hard to provide you with a one way shop to provide you with railway research and innovation related information and data through our Railway Research Portal which you can consult at the following link: http://www.railway-research.org/
This Portal is directly linked with the SPARK website which was set up by RSSB.
SPARK is a free, interactive web tool for the rail industry. SPARK gives you access to a range of publications. It provides information on research projects and initiatives and gives pointers to test facilities, centres of expertise and data sources.
Materials are uploaded in SPARK from a wide variety of sources to give you access to the combined wisdom of organisations from across the globe. The UIC International Rail Research Board (IRRB) members receive enhanced permissions, automatically providing access to a wider range of reports and materials.
SPARK also allows you to contribute your own information, meaning you can join a community of professionals working together to share knowledge, reduce duplication and speed up innovation.
The progress of the Rail Research Portal and SPARK is closely followed by the IRRB as part of the work as described in their 2nd Strategy Document. In relation to this the initiative was taken to send out a survey and see if this portal fits the needs and wishes of the users.
Would you please take a few minutes of your time to answer the survey so we can further improve our service.
NB: the information about the Call for the 2016 edition of the Global Rail Research & Innovation Awards will be updated soon and the Call will be open from early July, accepting applications for the 2016 Awards which will be presented in December 2016.
You can access the survey at the following new link as there seemed to be some problems with the previous link given: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JP9VWH6
Thank you very much for your cooperation!
