China: Global experts and scholars fuel the development of Hanergy School of Renewable Energy

On 11 January 2016, President Ning Bin met Prof. Philip Krein (Chairman), Prof. Michael Tse (Member) and Prof. Wang Leyi (Member) of the International Advisory Board of the Hanergy School of Renewable Energy (HASRE).

Ning Bin expressed gratitude to the three professors for offering valuable guidance and suggestions for the development of HASRE. He pointed out that BJTU (Beijing Jiaotong University) would strongly support the construction of HASRE and welcome more and more high-level global experts and scholars to offer suggestions and advice for HASRE.

Prof. Philip Krein expressed gratitude to BJTU for the hospitality on behalf of the International Advisory Board. He hoped that both sides would carry out further collaborations on teaching, faculty, research and the operational mode of HASRE.

During the visit, the guests also conducted in-depth discussions about HASRE’s strategic plan, faculty recruitment, curriculum development and internationalisation with principals from the School of Electrical Engineering and HASRE. In addition, they visited the State Key Lab of Rail Traffic Control and Safety, National Active Power Distribution Grid Technology Research Centre and History Museum.

Principals from the Hanergy School of Renewable Energy, School of Electrical Engineering and Office of International Affairs were also present at the meeting.
