JR East and JR West are launching the convenient “Tateyama Kurobe Option Ticket” for international travellers visiting Japan who wish to travel the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.
While this product first went on sale by JR East in the autumn of 2015, JR East and JR West have joined together to sell the “Tateyama Kurobe Option Ticket” in response to increases in the number of travellers to the Hokuriku region, and the introduction of the “Hokuriku Arch Pass” unlimited-travel pass for international travellers visiting Japan from 1 April 2016.
We will work together with the local region to further bolster PR activities for this sightseeing route in an aim to boost travel by international travellers to the Hokuriku area in the future.
