Words are powerless to express our horror at the barbarism which continues to strike indiscriminately across the world.
Words are powerless to comfort the friends and loved ones so cruelly affected by such acts.

And words are powerless to express our pain and anger.

Tomorrow, Wednesday 23 March, at 12 noon (Paris time), we will hold a minute’s silence to commemorate together the values of Unity, Universality and Solidarity, which, modest though they are, remain our best defence against unreason everywhere, in all its forms.
