The TTEG is the community of Railway Undertakings that publishes consolidated timetable data (MERITS data) to be used by the MERITS members in information systems to support journey planners and booking activities.
This working meeting was held on 21 June 2016 at the invitation of Roberta Rizzo, Trenitalia in Rome.
The participants represented 11 railway companies: Trenitalia, SNCF, DSB, SJ, CD, MAV-START, NSB, DB, RENFE, CFL, Trenord.
UIC was represented by Marc Guigon, Senior Advisor for Passenger Transport, Fabrice Setta, Senior Advisor for eBusiness and Joachim Baars, Expert on Timetable Data.
The meeting focused on:
- Ways of delivering station data when there are several railway undertakings operating in one country
- Minimum Connecting Times (MCTs) in railway stations
- Restrictions on origin-destination relationship when reservation is mandatory for only part of the train journey
The group reached a common understanding of these points, and decisions for implementation will take place during next meeting.
