FS Italiane signs two Memoranda of Understanding with the Russian and Japanese Railways

The CEO and General Manager of FS Italiane, Renato Mazzoncini, has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with representatives of Russian and Japanese railway companies.

Within the agreement with Russian Railways development of joint projects for the construction and modernisation of railway infrastructure, in addition to the supply of products and services for logistics and the transport of goods and passengers is envisioned.

At the heart of the agreement there is also collaboration for the construction of high-speed lines in Russia, in addition to joint projects for the construction of railway infrastructure in other countries.

Instead, in the Memorandum of Understanding with Japanese Railways (JR East) emphasis is given to reciprocal cooperation of a technical nature in the field of services and railway technology, also through the reciprocal exchange of personnel.
