Next Station Steering Committee held in Madrid on 12 September 2016

The next International NextStation Conference will be held in Madrid on 19 and 20 October 2017. It is being co-organised by the International Union of Railways and ADIF, the Spanish Rail Infrastructure Manager.
The Organising Committee members met in Madrid on 12 September to establish, in a first phase, the main outlines of the conference. The event will take place at Chamartin Station, downtown Madrid.

The conference will be composed of:

  • Plenary sessions, round tables and technical sessions on specific themes
  • A professional exhibition
  • A programme of technical visits

This 6th NextStation conference will tackle the key issues under the main theme “Smart Stations in Smart Cities”. The latest developments applicable to railway stations design and operation and also the integration of the station in the city will be presented by high-level speakers, including decision-makers, representatives of leading industries as well as stakeholders involved in the city issue.
