“Thanks to the active work of the CCTT’s members, the Trans-Siberian’s competitiveness as a transit bridge linking the Asia-Pacific region and Europe is increasing. “UIC is progressively developing its activities within Asia-Pacific region which includes sub-regions having different technical regulations like EU, EAEU, CCTT, CAREC bridged by Trans-Siberian Corridor. Therefore UIC is always looking for any opportunity to support members of UIC & CCTT by providing the efficient technical tools (like permanently improved Leaflets, newly developed International Railway Standards, Feasibility studies and high priority projects) to be used in day-to-day activities for strategic goals to be achieved by railways in sound cooperation with strong international organisations like CCTT and OSJD,” on behalf of Jean-Pierre Loubinoux, said Mr Kinderis.
Heads of CCTT members and leading forwarding and operator companies presented the results of their work on intermodal transport services on the Trans-Siberian Route and shared information on the development trends of integrated Euro-Asian logistic chains as well as prospects for integrated logistics development.
