Upon the retirement of Mr Sheng Guangzu, Mr Loubinoux, Director General of UIC, wishes to extend his best wishes and gratitude to him for the work that he has done at the head of China Railway.

It should be recalled that China Railway was one of founding members of UIC as a worldwide organisation in 1922, the year of its creation. China Railway is a very important railway system and is very much involved in the work and activities of UIC, not only in the Asian Region but in the worldwide governance.

Mr Loubinoux greets Mr Lu Dongfu, who is already well-known within the railway community and from his contact with UIC. Mr Loubinoux is convinced that Mr Lu will ensure that China Railway will continue to collaborate with and contribute towards UIC and the railway community.
