The Supervisory Board of DB Cargo AG voted today to approve Raimund Stüer (55) as Member of the Management Board for Sales as of 15 March 2017. As a member of DB Cargo’s five-person management board, Stüer will be responsible for all of the German and Europe-wide sales and marketing activities of Europe’s largest freight operating company.
Stüer, who holds a degree in business, has spent most of his career to date in rail freight transport. A co-founder of the private freight operating company TX Logistik AG, he successfully established the company as an international provider on the North-South corridor during his tenure from 2000 to 2011. He also served as Senior Vice President at Kühne + Nagel Management AG, where his responsibilities included global products and services in rail and intermodal logistics.
“We are delighted that Mr Stüer will be joining the Management Board of DB Cargo and will be able to contribute his sales and marketing expertise”, said Jürgen Wilder, Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of DB Cargo. “His extensive experience and his network in national and international rail freight will help DB Cargo on its growth trajectory”, Wilder continued.
Raimund Stüer replaces Andreas Busemann, who is leaving the position as of 14 March 2017 to pursue activities outside the DB Group.
