The 2nd Training on Commuter and Regional Train Services will take place from 21 – 24 November 2017 in Rome.

Registration is still possible!

After the success of the first edition, the second Training on Commuter and Regional Train Services will take place, jointly organised by the International Railways Association (UIC) and Trenitalia and kindly sponsored by Alstom, Indra and the University of Florence.

The aim of the training programme will be to examine all the constituent elements, as well as the different types of Commuter and Regional Train System (CRTS) around the world and to measure their impact impartially and objectively from political, social and economic standpoints.

The three-day training programme will revise the main aspects of this kind of service:

  • Main principles of the Commuter and Regional Train Systems around the world
  • Stations and accessibility
  • Financing
  • Legal framework
  • Tendering
  • Railway and society

This training will allow the participants to meet and exchange experiences with other participants from different areas of the world and to attend lectures from representatives of railway companies, the supply industry (Alstom, Indra), university (University of Florence), international organisations (UIC, CIT, UITP) and public authorities.
