Germany: The Supervisory Board of DB has appointed three new Members of the Management Board

On 10 November 2017, the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bahn adopted the proposals of its Personnel Committee and appointed three new Members of the Management Board, each for a term of three years.

Alexander Doll, aged 47, who has a degree in business administration and was trained as a banker, will be responsible for the DB Cargo and DB Schenker Business Units. Doll has been the CEO of Barclays Germany in Frankfurt since 2013. Prior to serving at Barclays, he worked at a variety of banks and financial institutions.

Sabina Jeschke, aged 49, whose doctorate is in physics, will be the new Board Member for Digitalisation and Technology. Jeschke is the Director of the interdisciplinary Cybernetics Lab in the Mechanical Engineering department. Jeschke herself focuses on subjects which include transport and mobility, the internet of things, robotics and automation technology, and artificial intelligence. She has extensive experience in the industry, gained through projects and partnerships with renowned companies.

Martin Seiler, aged 53, will be the new Board Member for Human Resources and Legal Affairs. He comes to DB from Telekom Deutschland GmbH, where he has been HR and Labor Director since June 2015. Seiler began his career in 1980 at Deutsche Post in Baden-Baden and was appointed to the management of Deutsche Post in Bonn in early 2003. He has served as HR Director at Deutsche Telekom since 2010.
