According to a decision made on 13 October 2017 by the Board of Directors of CFL Cargo, Mrs Laurence Zenner has been appointed Managing Director of CFL Cargo with effect as of 1 January 2018. She will succeed Mr Marc Polini who claimed his pension rights.
Mrs Laurence Zenner holds a degree in civil engineering from the University of Liège (ULg) and has a professional experience of 22 years, including 18 years in the field of railways. She began her career as a Research & Development engineer with a metal hall manufacturer and joined the CFL Group in 1999, where she held various executive positions in the field of fixed installations.
In charge of Management of Infrastructure Management Resources from 2012 to 2014, Mrs Laurence ZENNER was appointed Secretary General in March 2014 and has also been CFL Group Quality Manager since April 2016.
Aged 46, she is married and has two children.
“I am ready to take on this new challenge with the great ambition of contributing to the development of the freight business. I have always been passionate about the fields of rail and logistics in all their aspects”, underlined the future Managing Director of CFL Cargo.
Mr Marc Wengler, CEO of the CFL Group and President of CFL Cargo, is confident: “Thanks to its long experience in the railway sector, Laurence will give new impetus to the activity of CFL cargo, which operates in a highly competitive perimeter in the midst of technological change.”
