Mr Fraj Ali is an engineer with a degree from the Civil Aviation and Meteorology School of Borj El Amri (Tunis, 1980). He joined the Ministry of Transport in 1980 and filled several administrative roles until 1997 when he was appointed President and CEO of the Regional Transport Authority of Kasserine, then Sousse and Sfax.
In 2011 Mr Fraj Ali was appointed head of the Tunis Transport Authority (TRANSTU) and held the position of Director General of Land Transport within the Ministry of Transport in June 2012 before being appointed President and CEO of SNCFT on 21 January 2019.
Mr Fraj Ali, in his capacity as President and CEO of SNCFT, serves as Chairman of the African Union of Railways (AUR), a specialised institution of the African Union (AU).
Mr Fraj Ali is married with four children.
