Effective from 20 February, Dr Róbert Homolya, President-Director General of MÁV Co. appointed Mr József Kerékgyártó as Director General of MÁV-START Railway Passenger Co., after relieving Mr András Csépke of his duties.

Mr Kerékgyártó has a long-standing experience in the transport/trucking/railway industry. He has worked in several top management positions, including having served as the former CFO of a Japanese automotive supplier company and as CFO of VAMAV Ltd., later specialising in producing railway infrastructure assets. Skilled in negotiation, budgeting, business planning, accounting and management, he holds degrees in industrial engineering and an MBA, and graduated from Harvard Business School.

Parallel to his new office Mr Kerékgyártó upholds his position as Executive Director of MÁV FKG Ltd., the infrastructure and maintenance subsidiary of MÁV Co.
