Lineas, the largest private rail freight operator in Europe, is saying goodbye to two of its key members in the management team, Rik Vos, COO, and Sam Bruynseels, CCO, who both have decided to explore new opportunities.
Having successfully done the restructuring of B-Cargo, the privatisation from the SNCB, the rebranding from B Logistics to Lineas, and the launch of the European Green Xpress Network, Sam Bruynseels and Rik Vos were at the forefront of the company’s success story. Both will be leaving the company in 2019 in search of new challenges.
At the same time, the company is attracting new talent with Kurt Coffyn and Lars Redeligx.
Kurt Coffyn will be joining Lineas as Chief Operations Officer on 1 November. He has more than 25 years’ experience in leading complex end-to-end supply chains and operations in multinational organisations such as Cargill, Barry-Callebaut, Ontex, Stanley, and General Electric.
Lars Redeligx will be joining Lineas as Chief Commercial Officer beginning of 2020. He brings more than 20 years’ experience in leading commercial teams at logistics and aviation companies such as LSG Group, Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa.
Having grown steadily with 10% over the past years, Lineas is gearing up for further European expansion. Through its unique Green Xpress Network, the company is increasingly convincing customers to optimise their supply chain by shifting cargo from road to rail, thereby optimising their supply chains while positively impacting climate and mobility.
