Wood (or timber) is consolidated at the stations Zlobino, Bazaikha, Krasnoyarsk, Lesosibirsk, Chunoyar, cut to container standards and sent through the Kazakhstan station Dostyk to the Chinese cities of Chongqing, Chengdu, Xi’an and Lanzhou.

The average volume of traffic per month is from 15 to 30 container trains, consisting on average of 50-62 forty-foot containers.

It is noteworthy that due to the increasing demand for transportation on this route from March 2020, KTZ Express provides not only its own, but also attracted containers to the route.

“In 2019, this type of transportation contributed to the growth of the total volume from China to Russia and back almost three times”, said director of the container transportation sales department A. Urynbasarov. “For three months of 2020, about 7.9 thousand TEU have already been transported along the China-Russia-China route”, he noted.

By the way, the successful supply of wood and lumber along the competitive route through Kazakhstan has been carried out since 2018.
