Introduction
Since 2018 the JSC “RZD” in the framework of the UIC APRA is implementing the project “Measures for the effective development of multimodal transport in the Asia-Pacific Region aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the railway transport” (INTERTRAN).
The main objective of the project is creating seamless information exchange environment focused on the digitalization of business processes in railway transportation in close cooperation with foreign trade operators and governmental controllers.
Besides, the implementation of this project provides conditions to move forward to paperless technology in multimodal transport and opens additional opportunities for the railway operators to increase their revenues through the development of the multimodal business.
Programme
Due to COVID-19 situation, the Workshop will be organised in 2 parts, one online on Wednesday 29 September 2021 and the other one onsite in September/October 2022.
September/October 2022 (2 days/dates to be decided) – Part 2 onsite
Day 1 of the workshop will be dedicated to the presentation of the INTERTRAN information technology, results of its implementation and further steps basing on possible other IT solutions enabling end-to-end electronic interaction of all participants of multimodal transport operation.
Day 2 will be dedicated to the technical visit to the Vladivostok Sea Port where participants will be able to get acquainted with the work of the container terminal and the advantages of the INTERTRAN information technology.
