4th Training on commuter and regional train services

Objectives

  • Offer an accurate and comprehensive overview of Commuter and Regional Train Services all around the world in the frame of the three main axes of the UIC action plan for the next year
  • Provide managers with all the information needed to facilitate decision-making on the subject of Commuter and Regional Train Services
  • Foster exchange of experience and information about the latest developments in this field
  • Give a global vision of Commuter and Regional Train Services to experts on some particular elements on the system

Target audience and conditions for participation

The training is targeted at managers in decision-making positions in the transport sector in general and in the railways in particular, whether working for railway companies or for the ministries, local or regional authorities, universities, advisory bodies, agencies or associations

  • The seminar is targeted at persons interested in acquiring a comprehensive overview of the Commuter and Regional Train Services
  • Seminar participants do not need to have in-depth knowledge of any specific subject relating to Commuter and Regional Train Services
  • Attendance to ALL sessions is therefore mandatory. Every participant will receive a certificate
  • The training sessions will be held in English

    UIC CRTS Handbook

    UIC CRTS working group is developing a Handbook to provide an overview on best practices on Commuter and Regional Train Services on a global scale.

    A survey has been designed to focus on the most important strategic issues wishes to understand the different ways of dealing with them depending on the different framework and network conditions.
