Benchmark study: Reuse of Materials Within the Railway Sector

Under the umbrella of its Energy, Environment and Sustainability Platform, UIC launched the “REUSE” project in January 2019, with the aim to provide

an overall vision of the application of the principles of circular economy in the railway sector by end of 2020.

UIC members participating in the project are DB, FS, Infrabel, ProRail, SNCB/NMBS and SNCF Réseau.

As part of this collaborative project we would like to ask you to participate in a benchmark study concerning the reuse of materials within the railway sector. You will find the questionnaire below.

Filling in will only take a couple of minutes. Information will be treated confidentially and only used for this study.

Your inputs will contribute to identity further opportunities. Within the Reuse project we already identified materials, CO2 calculations, … and we would like to go a step further. The results of REUSE will be presented during a workshop to be held by the end of 2020.

We would be grateful if you could submit your input by 31 March 2020. Your support will be very much appreciated as will be used for drafting the final deliverable of our project.

Feel free to contact dekeyzer at uic.org for more information on the project!

Many thanks in advance!

Please submit your input by 31 March 2020.
