The UIC Customer Experience working group (CEMP) is organising an online workshop where experts will share information about customer requirements, examples of successful solutions already implemented and development of strategies for the near future regarding bikes and luggage management on railway systems.

1.Context:

In recent years, the integration of bicycles and efficient luggage management on board railways has become a critical aspect of modern transportation. As more people seek sustainable travel options, the demand for accessible and accommodating rail services has grown. This webinar aims to explore the multifaceted issues related to the management of bikes and luggage on trains, with a focus on enhancing customer experience while addressing conflicts related to accessibility, capacity, and sustainable mobility.

2.Objectives:

  • To understand the current practices and challenges of bike and luggage management on railways around the world.
  • To explore the impact of these practices on customer experience.
  • To identify conflicts of usage related to accessibility, capacity, and sustainability.
  • To discuss innovative solutions and best practices to improve the integration of bikes and luggage on railways.
