Register for the IRRB’s webinar delivered as part of the “UIC R&I Talks” series on CES LAS VEGAS 2024 trends - what are the possible applications for the rail sector?

23 May 2024 12:00-14:00 CET, Online

UIC is pleased to host an online webinar on CES Las Vegas 2024 trends on 23 May 2024, from 12:00 to 14:00 CET.

UIC has been active at CES Las Vegas and CES Government since 2017, participating in conferences and panels, giving speeches and supporting rail promotion. UIC attended CES Las Vegas last January to promote and support the digitisation of railways and support rail as the backbone of new transport mobility.

Adapting to climate change is becoming a major global concern, and its urgency has just been highlighted by the IPCC6. As a result, UIC published its “Vision of Rail in 2030”, encouraging the allocation of funds for investment in the improvement of railway infrastructure, rolling stock and services, as well as innovation to decarbonise operations, in order to drastically increase the number of trains, and the number of passengers and freight carried worldwide.

This is why CES Las Vegas is so important for UIC and its members.

Mr Sanjiv Bhutani, Chairman of the International Rail Research Board (IRRB), will open the webinar. Afterwards, Mr Christian Chavanel, Director of the UIC Railway System, Mr Francis Bédel and Mr Gilbert Réveillon will take the floor to share how new technological innovations can be applied to the rail sector.

UIC members and all other interested parties are encouraged to attend.

The event will be held in English.
