IRS 90940 addresses the standardisation of data exchange flows with Driver Advisory Systems (DAS) by proposing the new SFERA protocol. This protocol has been designed to allow operators to work seamlessly across borders and speed up the implementation of advice to driver connected to real-time traffic management (Connected DAS or C-DAS) while remaining compatible with ATO over ETCS and other train protection systems.

The UIC SFERA Working Group / DAS experts were happy to introduce you to the concept between 10:00 and 11:00.
This was a short overview presentation to announce the upcoming IRS and launch its maintenance.
