The UIC Passenger Department is excited to announce the sixth Training on Commuter and Regional Train Services to be held in person in Athens, hosted by Hellenic Train and sponsored by Hitachi and Accenture.
What’s on the programme?
Under the theme “Customer centricity – Evolutionary scenario”, three main topics will be developed through inspiring lectures given by international railway experts from countries such as Japan, Greece, Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland, Denmark and China.
- Trends and changes in customer regulation;
- Trends and changes in regional train service contracts;
- Trends and changes in journey experience.
In addition to the lectures, the programme will feature a dynamic session led by Accenture where participants will be able to discuss how to deal with a severe case of rail service disruption in order to best meet the needs of different types of customers.

- No previous in-depth knowledge of any specific commuter and regional train systems or subjects is required, so it could be a good opportunity to acquire a general overview of these services from different perspectives, such as railway undertakings, industry, government, and other rail stakeholders.
- Attending ALL of the sessions is mandatory and every participant will receive a certificate.
