The CIT (International Rail Transport Committee [1]) and UIC are pleased to invite the staff of claims, sales and legal departments of their members to the Passenger Claims Departments’ Conference to be held online on Wednesday, 22 September 2021 with a focus on “New developments and digitalisation in claim handling process”.

The sessions will address the issues of claim handling from the legal point of view and how digitalisation in the railway sector affects handling processes.

In addition, a presentation will be delivered on CIT’s contribution in the development of a new EU-Claim Form and an overview given of CIT’s products which are of interest for customer services.

The highlight of the conference will be the workshop dealing specifically with the cases conditioned by huge travel restrictions caused by the pandemic, giving participants the possibility to discuss unclarified or disputed cases.

The conference offers good opportunities for networking, giving participants the possibility to discuss unclarified issues or disputed cases, especially for the customer assistance which is a permanent challenge for customers services.
