This event is recognised as the most important gathering on the topic of high-speed rail. It is being jointly organised by ONCF (the Moroccan National Railway Office) and UIC (the International Union of Railways) and will be held with the patronage of His Majesty King Mohamed VI and will take place from 7-10 March 2023 at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco.

Coming together under the slogan “High-Speed Rail: the Right Speed for Our Planet”, renowned specialists will share ideas and have debates on climate change and the role of high-speed rail in developing regions. This will take place in round tables and in parallel sessions.

The congress will also explore the current development of high-speed rail around the world and present the latest state-of-the-art technology in this field. It will also provide a platform for dialogue and interaction between the countries involved in high-speed rail, and will set the direction for future research and development in the sector, therefore also influencing the future of high-speed rail.

The UIC Congress on High-Speed Rail is extremely comprehensive, addressing both high-speed train operations and technological issues.

This is why more than 1500 people, from all around the world, are expected to attend, including representatives from international railway organisations, government officials, manufacturers, senior high-speed rail experts and managers, researchers, academics, and so on.
