Due to the pandemic, UIC Asia-Pacific will be hosting its conference on digital, originally planned for May 2020 in Perth, Australia, online on 27 and 28 October 2021.
Mobility is a key challenge for the 21st century. Megacities all over the world are entering into an era of considerable development and will need to move people and goods more rapidly and over longer distances. Rail has a key role to play in this context, and must remain the backbone of future multimodal mobility. The issue is global, and digital technology is the only way to meet the challenge.
This two-day event will provide an opportunity to discuss, discover, explore, understand and learn about the latest innovations and their potential interest and benefits for rail.
The following main themes will be discussed:
- Digitalisation
- Condition monitoring and machine learning
- FRMCS and other future developments
- Intelligent rail
- Big data
We are confident that this online conference will provide an excellent opportunity to deepen understanding of UIC Asia-Pacific railways and strengthen cooperation among members and partners.
The conference will be held virtually via Zoom.
