Get ready, the rail knowledge hub SPARK is migrating to a new platform!

Managed by the UK’s Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) in partnership with UIC, SPARK was launched in 2011 as a key resource for the global rail industry to find information on rail research, capabilities, and expertise. It is a free, interactive platform which allows the global rail community to share knowledge, thereby reducing duplication and accelerating innovation.

The updated rail knowledge hub will be available in April, and having reviewed the most commonly used features, some adjustments are also being made to the site’s functionality. However, SPARK will retain its effective search functionalities and vast wealth of content, to continue facilitating rail research, by showing the relevant information when needed.

A content freeze is now in place to allow the data to be migrated, so whilst records cannot be added or amended at present, the site can still be used as normal.
