Update or fill any gaps in your knowledge of railway engineering

Rail professionals need to not only master their own area of expertise to deal with projects, operations and maintenance more efficiently, but also be familiar with other specialisations to improve decision-making and meet the demands of all stakeholders involved.

This short series of career-oriented courses, developed by leading researchers from the Delft University of Technology and industry experts, will help you gain a deeper, more technical understanding of railway infrastructure and operations from a broader systems perspective.

Using an accessible and flexible way of learning, this online programme helps you understand how all the interfaces relate, affect each other and influence the system so that you can deploy more efficient ways of planning and implementing operational and maintenance strategies. This will ultimately have an impact on your daily work and your projects and decisions about investment, innovation and optimisation.

"Usually in railway-related companies the overview of the whole railway system gets lost easily because of its sheer complexity. Innovation needs the full picture; I enrolled in this programme to get this comprehensive knowledge in a short time span.” – Marco Langwadt, Bogie Equipment Innovation Engineer, Germany
