Kibily Touré, Director General of CFS – Senegal railways met with François Davenne on 28 February 2022 at the UIC headquarters in Paris.

Both sides exchanged their thoughts on the prospect of bilateral cooperation between UIC and Senegal railways. They highlighted areas in which UIC could provide its technical support, focusing on specifications, reports and International Railway Solutions (IRS), operations, and safety. Railway development remains one of Senegal’s flagship projects, to align with the aspirations of Agenda 2063 and make the railway mode a major lever for inclusive and sustainable growth. CFS – Senegal railways is one of three UIC members in Senegal, together with GTS (Grand Trains du Sénégal) and SEN-TER S.A. (Société nationale de gestion du patrimoine du Train Express Régional).
