The UIC Asia-Pacific Workshop on the second phase of the project “Measures for the effective development of multimodal transport in the Asia-Pacific Region aimed at increasing the competitiveness of railway transport” (INTERTRAN) will be held on 14 – 15 October 2019 in Vladivostok at the Hotel Lotte Vladivostok.

The main objective of the project implemented by JSC Russian Railways is the creation of a seamless information exchange environment focused on the digitisation of business processes during transport by a railway carrier in relation with foreign trade operators and governmental controllers.

This workshop will be dedicated to the presentation of the results of the pilot multimodal transport along the route Yokohama seaport (Japan) – Silikatnaya railway station (Russia) using the new information technology for electronic exchange between the transport process participants, including the shipper, sea line, port, railway carrier and customs authorities.
